also, i got my hair re-colored. i got red streaks a layer under so it's super subtle, and it's a different red than before. before it was bright red (avi) now it's pretty much burgundy. i like it.

So, I'm reading "My Thirteenth Winter". It's a book about this girl with discalculia and her struggles with it. It's really interesting. Like for example, she got all the way to 7th grade without being able to read time. She probably got farther than that, but I'm only at the part of the book where she starts 7th grade. How do you make it all the way to seventh grade without being able to read time? She also got that far being tested for a learning disability once and all that came of that was the conclusion that she had difficulty with math and was gifted in everything else. When a 7th grader can barely do basic addition and subtraction, can't remember the combination to her locker or read time... that's clearly a problem and needs to be addressed.

I have known people who struggle with similar issues and it is extremely detrimental to their self esteem. They believe that they are "stupid" and that there is something "wrong" with them. Peers don't usually aid in the growth process either. Those of us who have been through high school can all attest to that.

ok. i'm freaking out becasue i haven't gotten on the real THA site in almost a week. *faints* even more, i've hardly gotten on the forum. i was on last night, but before i could catch up on what was happening, it went down again. *dies* it's been twelve hours already, hasn't it!!!!! it said 12 hours!!!!!!

have any of yall read hunger games? its one of my favorite books ever. besides harry potter. that is and always will be my absolute favorite book/series ever.

i have a disco-themed party to go to in a few weeks that smiley just reminded me of it.

Tonight, I went out with my women's chorale to see a musical, but in the few hours we had to kill beforehand, we went to the mall. And guess what I bought?


1) Zipper choker necklace (Bill would approve)
2) Blingy robot sunglasses (much like Bill's welder-like sunglasses )
3) A tanktop
4) Fake blood that sticks to the window ()
5) Three pairs of Halloween earrings!
